The Eastern Conference is on of two conferences in the American Inline Hockey League (AIHL) used to divide teams. Its counterpart is the Western Conference.
It was created in 2008 with the creation of the AIHL. The AIHL aligned its teams into two conferences and six divisions. The conference was named for the geographical location of its teams.
Its divisions were re-aligned in 2009 after its first series of expansion, contraction.
Divisions[]
Before the 2009 realignment, the Eastern Conference consisted of the Mid-Atlantic Division, the New England Division and the Southeast Division. Currently the Eastern Conference comprises 18 teams in three divisions: Colonial, Mid-Atlantic and New England.
