Template:Infobox International Inline Hockey Competition The 2009 IIHF InLine Hockey World Championship was the 14th, the premier annual international inline hockey tournament. It took place between the 6th of June to the 13th of June in Germany. The games were played in the Saturn Arena in Ingolstadt. The defending champions Sweden, won the two previous championships.

The Saturn Arena in Ingolstadt opened in 2003 and accommodates an attendance of 4,815. Germany gained the right to host the World Championship for the 5th time.

Sweden won its third consecutive and sixth overall championship defeating United States in the final 7–6.

Template:Details Each teams roster for the 2009 IIHF InLine Hockey World Championship consists of at least 8 skaters (forwards, and defencemen) and 2 goaltenders, and at most 16 skaters and 3 goaltenders.

Preliminary roundEdit

Eight participating teams were placed in the following two groups. After playing a round-robin, the top three teams in each group advance to the Playoff round. The last team in each group competes in the Qualification Games.

All games are played at the Saturn Arena in Ingolstadt.

Qualification roundEdit

The two last-placed teams of groups A and B of the Top Division, and the two first-placed teams of groups C and D of Division I, play for 4th place in group A and B to participate in the Top Division playoffs. The losers of those games play as first-placed teams in group C and D to participate in the Division I playoffs.
