The Rochester Institute of TechnologyTigers won their fourth championship and first since 2003 with a 4-3 victory over SUNY Buffalo. This tournament marked the first time since RIT's last title in 2003 that Towson University did not win the championship. Towson was eliminated in the semifinals with a 6-3 defeat at the hand of RIT. In Division II, SUNY Stony Brook won the DII Championship over perennial powerhouse and defending champions Neumann College with a dramatic comeback. Down five goals in the second period, the Sea Wolves scored six unanswered goals, with the last coming :53 seconds into overtime to clinch the championship. It was also only the second championship game to be determined in overtime in the history of the ECRHA. Neumann came out on the losing end of the first in 2005 against Hofstra University. In DIII, Suffolk County defeated Nassau County two games to none, to win their 5th consecutive regional championship. In the B Division, the Suffolk County Lighthouses clinched their 4th consecutive regional championship against Towson University. It also marked the third straight year in which Towson lost in the final against Suffolk.
